Today I went strawberry picking with some friends. I ended up with 26.81lbs of strawberries, they had about 20 and 10lbs. I do a bit more preserving and such than they do.
And after I got home? Hubby said the 5yo was all upset. Because "but Mommy's supposed to take me!" - take him strawberry picking at Greenbluff. He didn't like being left behind or out of the excitement. Poor kiddo.
Someone let the girl loose with a piece of licorice. *sigh*
Today's harvests. 4.5oz of strawberries and a handful of green onions.

The lilies out front are attempting to bloom.
The cucumbers are up and doing okay. I think that's a squash, and some melons that are having issues coming up. May need to replant.
The pint is jam canned at a friend's house, the half-pint at mine. Yeah, we've got more sediment. Damn it.
Dried lemon zest.
Two or three things in progress. Yeah.
Tonight's foray. Very low sugar jam. 4 cups fruit to 1 cup sugar. We'll see how it is. Makes a smaller batch, that's for darn sure.
And! Attempting fruit leather. We'll see what it looks like in the morning.
